What we prioritize when choosing and matching a gestational carrier for commissioning parents?
When selecting a gestational carrier, we ensure that the candidate has no history of uncomplicated pregnancies or deliveries and has at least one living child. The carrier must be between 20 and 35 years old, with a BMI under 30 kg/m², and free from medical conditions. She should have been pregnant within the last five years, with no prior history of infertility, and no criminal record. Additionally, a relative or guarantor is required for support. Gestational carriers may be family members, friends, or individuals previously unknown to the patient. Many of our clients find carriers through our registered agencies, who help screen and match surrogates to intended parents.
